Freedom mortgage owes me that amount of *********. I was free and clear of that mortgage given the sale of the house. I used the equity of the sale to pay off the remainder of my chapter 13 the same week I sold the property. I sold the house and was free and clear on September 30 2022. I owed rears and filed a chapter 13 bankruptcy. Enough already.įreedom mortgage corporation was my mortgage company. FM clearly has no interest in resolving IT or client issues while it is snatching and earning interest on unauthorized transfers from client banks. Yet in Payment History it displayed that funds had been paid. A week following my April 24th escrow shortage payment in full, my Summary on the website and mobile app still showed an escrow shortage balance. No instructions in the email notice were given to make a payment by phone (apparently the only way to pay an escrow shortage in full without a mortgage payment being added according to *******). Both FMs website and mobile app have major glitches, but ******* told me that no corrections would likely be made on ITs end. For over two weeks its been mistake after mistake and delay after delay since I paid the escrow shortage in full on April 24th and had additional mortgage and principal payments applied. On the 6th a secure message informed me it would be reversed on the 9th. Too many details to list, but ******* told me on May 3rd that funds would be reversed immediately rather than waiting 10 days per protocol. By May 3rd all documentation had been provided FM via secure messages, customer service calls and a ***** call between FM escalation manager (*******) and my bank to confirm that $1755.24 had been posted. However, a 3rd mortgage payment $892.13 was transferred by FM and an additional principal payment in an odd amount of $863.11 (mine is set at $700.86) totaling $1755.24. After a call to FM this amount was quickly reversed. I had been a customer of ********************** for well over 10yrs on my previous loan but with this customer service and lack of accountability I will never use them again nor recommend them to anyone.Īpril 24th-Escrow shortage payment $1947.05 made in full to FM, but link provided in email to mobile app page required mortgage payment $892.13 to also be made although my mortgage payments are automatically generated.May 1st-automatic mortgage and principal payments transferred, but had been modified to include additional escrow for a 12 month payment plan, all totaling $1054.38. I just want the money I paid Freedom for my mortgage to send the money to 5/3 so it does not go against my credit since I made my payment early. They have not followed up with the resolution and keep passing me to new people at the same level. They see the payments received and put in limbo but can't explain further. Everyone I spoke to at Freedom seemed to be confused by their own accounting. It is now the 11th of May and the money has not been transferred. I was advised this would take place on May 1st. When I called they said they had to transfer the loan amount that 5/3 bought the loan but they would send the money they received with instructions how to apply the money. They had applied the payments but then on April 27th the pulled the payments back and put them in limbo. The problem is I had made payments to Freedom early in the month of April for both May and June payments. Freedom chose to sell the loan to 5/3 Bank. In Feb'23 I purchased a home using Freedom Mortgage. I tried to explain the timing of the postings made all the difference On the 3rd call, my case was escalated to a higher level but she was of no help so I gave up. On May 2, they posted the $8k+, however, the monthly auto payment was still applied as if the 10k was received after the draw. Interest should be less due to the 10k decreasing the loan balance. I called in on May 1 informing them that the entire 10k should have applied to principal first thereby changing how the subsequent monthly draw applied. Subsequently on 05/01/23 the monthly auto-withdrawal payment posted, applying to principal, ****************** The issue is the timing of posting of the payments. On 05/01/23, it mistook the payment as my monthly payment and applied to principal, ****************** the remaining $8k+ was subtracted out and not accounted for. Online history shows $10k as received on 04/29/23, then suspended. I had remitted a one time payment of $10k towards principal on 04/28/23. I called the business on May 1, 5 & 11 attempting to get the issue remedied but was unsuccessful.
